The order matters, so we will state it plainly. The issue comes first. The garment comes out of the issue. Nothing here is designed to be sold and explained afterwards — the summer was written down, and one page of it turned out to be heavy enough to wear.
The Piece is the name of the slot, not of the garment. This season the slot is filled by The List: a boxy relaxed cut in combed cotton, side-seamed, tagless, printed once in a single ink. Held up it reads as a contents page. Worn it reads as nothing in particular, which is the point — the room reads the wearer before it reads the label, and there is no label to read.

We set the press for a declared number before a single panel was cut. Not ninety-nine for the theatre of it, not a hundred and twenty because the week went well. The number was the promise, and the promise was made in public, in advance, where it could be checked.
The garment is the part of the issue you can take outside.
The rule, declared
There is no restock. There is no second colourway arriving in three weeks once the interest is measured. When the last copy is claimed the plate is sealed, the edition moves to the archive, and the issue gets on with whatever the season does next.
