Terms

The plain agreement between the house and you.

Last updated · 25 July 2026English · Spanish version to follow

Pre-launch draft. This text is sealed together with the house’s registered details before the first copy is sold; the fields marked below are the ones still missing. We would rather show you the gap than fill it with something invented.

Who you are dealing with

ALBARONE is a magazine and a garment house trading from Spain and selling to consumers across the European Union.

Registered name, tax number and registered address: [PENDING — fiscal data]. Written enquiries: [PENDING — house address].

There is no shop floor and no phone line. Everything is answered in writing, in English, within two working days.

What we sell

The magazine is free to read and always will be. The only thing you can buy from us is a garment: one copy of a printed edition.

The current edition is priced at €45, VAT included, and is declared as an edition of 100.

The declared rule

Before an edition opens we declare how many copies exist and whether they will ever be printed again. That declaration is published on the product page before a single copy is sold, and it cannot be changed afterwards.

We never sell more copies than declared. When the last copy is claimed the edition closes and is sealed in the archive. A closed edition is not reprinted, restocked, or revived under another name.

We do not run sales, discount codes, welcome offers or seasonal reductions. The price on the first day is the price on the last day.

Prices, VAT and duties

All prices are in euro and include Spanish VAT at the applicable rate (currently 21%) for consumers in the European Union. Amounts are held and charged in whole cents.

Delivery cost is shown before you pay, never added afterwards. Inside the EU there is nothing to pay on arrival: no customs duties, no import charges.

How an order is made

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we send you the confirmation email, and that email also tells you which copy number you hold.

A copy is only yours once payment is captured. If two people reach for the last copy at the same moment, only one payment can succeed: the other is cancelled and refunded in full, automatically. We would rather disappoint you honestly than sell a copy that does not exist.

If a price or an availability figure is obviously wrong, we may cancel the order and refund you in full before dispatch.

Payment

Payments are handled by Stripe, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Your card details are never seen or stored by us.

Delivery, withdrawal and faults

Dispatch, delivery times and costs are set out in Shipping. The current edition is dispatched from 15 SEPTEMBER.

You have 14 days to change your mind, for any reason. The details are in Returns.

Beyond that, every garment carries the legal guarantee of conformity under Spanish consumer law: three years from delivery. If a garment is faulty or not as described, we repair, replace or refund at no cost to you.

What belongs to the house

The diary, the photographs, the drawings, the texts, the marks and the artwork are ours and stay ours.

Buying a copy buys the garment. It does not buy the artwork: the imagery may not be reproduced, printed, resold or used commercially without written permission.

You may of course sell or give away the physical copy you own. Nobody is authorised to sell our garments as new, or to sell anything on our behalf.

Where our responsibility ends

We are responsible for what we sell and for what we promise here. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as carrier strikes or customs action — though we will always tell you what is happening.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you live elsewhere in the European Union, the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply to you.

If something goes wrong, write to us first: [PENDING — house address]. Most things are settled in one email.

If we cannot settle it, you may take the matter to the Spanish consumer arbitration system (Sistema Arbitral de Consumo) or to the courts of your place of residence.

Changes to this text

This version is dated 25 July 2026. Changes never apply retroactively: the terms you bought under are the terms that govern your purchase.

The way out

That is the small print, in full. The rest of the house is the magazine — and the one edition that is open right now.
